That women still face financial injustice, that male artists are still favored over female ones, that women still have to fight against injustices in countless areas of everyday life, all the time. I don’t even want to get started on issues ranging from sexual violence against women to domestic violence, femicide, and so on.
The issue is vast and clearly relevant. It sometimes makes you angry, sometimes sad, and sometimes it makes you feel downright resigned that it’s 2026 and we still have to fight so hard to be accepted and seen with respect and appreciation.
