These steles are also something I find fantastic. In general, working with stone and with what can be found in the artist’s immediate surroundings. A man from the mountains who works with his hands. There’s something very archaic about it. And the stelae are reminiscent of times long past, of pagan customs, of calling upon the gods, of sacrificial offerings, of mysticism and a very simple life with all its profundity and light.
